KATHMANDU: The price of gold has gone down in the domestic market on Thursday. The news of the successful test of vaccine against coronavirus in the international media has its impact on the gold price as well.
In line with the slump in gold price in the international market, the price of the yellow metal has dropped by Rs 700 per tola (11.66 grammes) in the domestic market today.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the hallmark gold was traded at Rs 94 thousand 400 per tola today. Its price was Rs 95 thousand 100 per tola on Wednesday.
Similarly, worked gold was traded at Rs 93 thousand 900 per tola today. Its price was Rs 94 thousand 600 on Wednesday. The price of silver is Rs 1,215 per tola today. It was Rs 1,230 on Wednesday.
