KATHMANDU: The government has given approval to the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma-led delegation to visit to UNIFIL, Lebanon and UNDOF, Syria as well as to the friendly country, the United States of America.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki shared this in a news conference organised to inform about the decisions of the meeting of the Council of Ministers today.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers likewise granted approval to National Planning Commission member Saloni Singh to participate in the ‘Global Summit 2022 Turning the Tide on Child Sexual Abuse Online’ being held on June 1 and 2 in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium.
According to the government spokesperson, the meeting decided to give approval to provide on lease the land owned by Nepal Bank Limited in Surkhet to the Nepal Rastra Bank and to recommend to the President for granting amnesty to 16 persons including Umakanta Parajuli on the occasion of the republic Day 2022.
The government has also decided to nominate Prakash Bahadur Shrestha to the member of the Executive Board of Nepal Administrative Staff College and to extend by one year the term of Executive Director of the Security Printing Centre, Bikal Poudel in accordance with Clause 6, Sub-clause (3) of the Security Printing Development Board (Formation) Order (Third Amendment).
The government has approved the resignation tendered by obstetrician and gynecologist Dr Jageshwor Sharma Gautam, Population Chief Consultant who has a posting at the Paropakar Maternity and Gynecology Hospital, Thapathali, and on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, appoint and install him in the Gazetted First Class Post of Nepal Civil Service.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers has likewise decided to table the Finance and Budget Bill in the Federal Parliament and to give approval to the Value Added Tax (24th Amendment) Regulations, 2022; the Excise Tax (23rd Amendment) Regulation, 2022; the Customs (13th Amendment) Regulations, 2022; and the Income Tax (13th Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
