Kathmandu, Aug 4: The government has dismissed two board directors Mr Kapil Acharya and Mr Bhakta Bahadur Pun from Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Sources at the Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Minister Deepak Khadka relieved them from their posts. Both of them were appointed to the quota of CPN (Unified Socialist) and CPN (Maoist Centre).
On the July 31, 2024, both of them were asked to explain that they did not cooperate in implementing the instructions given by the Government of Nepal and the Electricity Regulatory Commission regarding the dedicated and trunk line dispute.
On Aug 2, Minister Khadka decided to dismiss both of them from their posts saying that the explanation submitted by them was not satisfactory. #nepal #NEA
