Government opens domestic regular flights

KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has opened domestic flights. The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to open the flights without increasing the total number of flights by 50 percent. Domestic airlines will be able to fly half of the normal number of flights.

Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority Rajan Pokharel said that a meeting with the ministry and stakeholders would be held on Wednesday to decide the date of domestic flights.

Meanwhile, the government has also opened flights to Dubai, Dammam, Kuwait, Muscat, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, China’s Chhendu and Guangzhou. Flights to Doha, Qatar and Istanbul, Turkey have been doubled. Accordingly, there will be 4 flights a week from Kathmandu-Doha.
