Kathmandu, Feb 15: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that the government’s ordinances will be passed soon. He mentioned that the process will move forward in the National Assembly session scheduled for Falgun 6, 2081 BS. Earlier, the government has introduced six ordinances before the start of the winter session of parliament.
According to Minister Lekhak, the ordinances issued by the government have already been registered in both houses of the Federal Parliament, and the ruling parties have reached an agreement to pass them. He assured that the process of approving the ordinances would begin soon, as all political parties in coalition have agreed on the matter. Regarding the land-related ordinance, he emphasized that discussions would be held among all political parties to ensure that the concerns of all stakeholders are addressed before its finalization.
A discussion was held among the ruling parties on Saturday regarding the approval of the government’s ordinances. Minister Lekhak stated that the discussions were positive, and the ordinances would soon be approved.
“The ordinances issued by the government have been registered in both houses of the Federal Parliament. Since they need to be approved by both houses, discussions were focused on this matter. Other contemporary political issues were also discussed. The primary focus was on approving and advancing the ordinances, and the discussions have been positive. The process of passing the ordinances will move forward soon, as all political parties in power have reached an agreement. The discussions in the National Assembly have also been conducted with a majority in mind. All ordinances need to be replaced, and the agreed-upon ordinances will proceed accordingly. The land-related ordinance will be finalized through discussions, incorporating the concerns of all stakeholders,” Minister Lekhak said.
Furthermore, he mentioned that an agreement has been reached to form a task force to advance discussions on constitutional amendments. He stated that the process of constitutional amendment will move forward through dialogue and cooperation with all political parties. #nepal #ordinances #coalition
