Government serious about tourism development: Minister Bhattarai

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said the government is working with various programmes aim to boost up the country’s tourism.

During his interaction with a delegation from the Trade Associations Nepal reached his office today to congratulate the new minister, he described tourism as a backbone for nation’s economic development, adding that the ministry had been working for the development of this sector.

The government has set a target of bringing about two million tourists by 2020 and the ministry is doing all necessary to meet the target, according to Minister Bhattarai.

On the occasion, Association chair Kumar Karki briefed the minister about issues facing the business community along the Tatopani and Kerung points.

The delegation wished for the successful term of the minister.
