Kathmandu, Jan 16: The board meeting of the National Sports Council (NSC), chaired by Minister for Youth and Sports Teju Lal Chaudhary, approved the logo and mascot for the upcoming 10th National Games to be held in Karnali Province. The meeting took place on Thursday at the Ministry of Sports in Singha Durbar.
The government has already stepped up the construction and renovation works in different parts of Karnali Province, including the construction of main stadium in Surkhet.
The council decided to unveil the logo and mascot at an appropriate time. Additionally, the meeting deemed the Nepal Olympic Committee’s election and general assembly invalid and decided to forward the matter to the concerned authority for further action.
NSC Member-Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising stated that the board resolved to proceed with necessary steps against national sports associations that participated in the committee’s election and general assembly but failed to submit satisfactory explanations with valid reasons to the council. #olympic #NSC #nepal
