Kathmandu: The government has directed the District Administration Office to shut down the crusher industries which are not registered and renewed.
The Home Ministry issued such directives on Wednesday in a circular sent to the District Administration Office of all 77 districts to shut down such industries operating illegally, said Spokesperson at the Home Ministry, Phanindra Mani Pokharel.
The circular was issued in order to regulate extraction of stone, pebble and sand following Environment Conservation Act-2076 and to implement the court’s order in this regard, according to the Home Ministry.
The local administration would shut down crusher industries which are in operation without registration and renewal as well as those involved in extracting pebbles and sand illegally, shared Spokesperson Pokharel. RSS
