Govt recommends to summon federal parliament’s meeting on February 5



Kathmandu, Jan 23: The government has recommended to the President to summon the meeting of the federal parliament on coming February 5.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers convened at Singha Durbar today decided to recommend to the President to convene the meeting for 4:00 pm on the same day, said Minister for Information and Communications Rekha Sharma.

Minister Sharma, also Spokesperson of the government, shared that the meeting also decided to form a team to hold talks with the government of Japan so as to finalize the draft agreement on concessional loan amount to over Rs 31.02 billion for the implementation of Koteshwor Intersection Improvement Project.

Furthermore, the cabinet nominated Dr Ashim Bhandari as the coordinator of the National Anti-Doping Agency as per the National Sports Development Regulations-2079 BS, Minister Sharma shared.

PM Dahal informs Speaker Ghimire about parliament session

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ talked to Speaker Devraj Ghimire over the phone about the preparations for convening the next session of the Federal Parliament.

Prime Minister Dahal called Speaker Ghimire before today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers and informed the latter about the preparations for calling the session, according to the Secretariat of the Speaker.

The session of both houses of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held at 4:00 PM on coming February 5, after the government today decided to recommend to the President to summon the parliament session that day. #Nepal
