Kathmandu, Oct 28: The Sushila Karki led interim government has withdrawn all security personnel assigned to former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
According to sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the decision was made after Nepal was charged in the Patanjali land corruption case. He was released on bail after depositing Rs 3.5 million.
Former Prime Minister Nepal had been provided with 16 Armed Police Force personnel and two Nepal Police officers for his security. Earlier, the government had also withdrawn security personnel that had been assigned to former Prime Ministers KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in violation of existing security standards. #nepal
