
Tehrathum, Feb 16: As many as 870 persons have been benefitted from a health camp organized at Myanglung, the district headquarters. It was a free health service for those suffering from heart problems.
The health camp organized recently by the Lions Club of Kathmandu and Buddha Universal was technically supported by the Martyr Gangalal Heart Centre, Kathmandu.
Also extending support to the free health camp were lawmaker Sita Gurung, Myanglung municipality, Nabil Bank and various social organizations in the district.
In addition to heart check up, the people underwent tests for diabetes and blood pressure. The heart patients from all six local levels visited the camps for free health service.
Executive Director at Gangalal Heart Centre, Dr Rabi Malla, informed that the people identified in need of further treatment would be provided free treatment from the Centre in Kathmandu.
The transport cost for patients were borne by Jayanti Memorial Trust. A team of 18 specialist doctors led by cardiologist Dr Dipak Limbu provided the medical services in the camp.
The camp for heart health was held to provide essential and specialized medical services to the heart patients, who were in difficulty to manage cost and time for treatment in the city.
Mayor at Myanglung municipality, Sanjay Kumar Tumbahamphe, expressed gratitude to all sides for their cooperation to hold the heart camp successfully. Similarly, lawmaker Gurung said the health camp was held after long initiative. #nepal #health #rss
