Rukum Paschim, April 17: Health workers working on scholarship contract at District Hospital, Salle, have not been paid for the past six months.
They complained of not getting their salary so far since November, 2024. Chairperson of the Hospital Development Committee, Tek Bahadur Kusari, said problems have surfaced to provide salary to 12 health workers working on scholarship contract after the hospital did not receive budget since November.
The Department of Health used to send budget in the districts through Social Development Ministry of Karnali Province. He shared though they had frequently communicated to the Social Development Ministry of the province on the matter, but in vain.
Twelve health workers– seven medical officers, two dental surgeon and three public health officers, have not received salary for six months. The health workers have drawn attention of District Hospital, Social Development Office, District Administration Office, Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Health and Population and Department of Health on this matter.
In protest, they have also shutdown health services except emergency for an indefinite period. #nepal #health #rss
