Hearing on NEA-related writs over, no interim order issued

Kathmandu, April 3: The Supreme Court has refused to grant an interim order on the writ petition filed by Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Hitendra Dev Shakya as well by outgoing ED Kulman Singh Ghising.

A division bench of Justices Kumar Chudal and Nityanand Pandey today refused to grant an interim order on the writ petitions filed by NEA Executive Director Shakya and outgoing ED Ghising. stating that the appointment of Ghising by removing him four years ago was wrong.

The court has however given priority for hearing, keeping in mind the seriousness of the issues raised in the dispute.
Ghising filed a petition seeking his reinstatement after his removal as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority while Shakya had filed a writ seeking decision over the writ he filed earlier when he was removed to be replaced by Ghising.

After three days of continuous hearings in the court, the interim order was refused today and a speedy hearing is scheduled.#nepal #NEA #rss
