HoR meeting postponed till March 19

Kathmandu, March 1: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) slated for today has been postponed issuing a notice.

The meeting scheduled to take place at 1:00 pm today has been put off till March 19, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

The notice issued by Parliament Secretariat secretary-general Dr Bharat Raj Gautam here today reads, “The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled on March 1 at 1:00 pm today has been postponed owing to special reasons and has been rescheduled for March 19 at 1:00 pm.”

The HoR will meet following the presidential and vice-presidential election. The Presidential election is scheduled on March 9 while the election to the Vice-President is slated for March 17.

According to reports, both CPN UML and Nepali Congress claimed for the main opposition party in the House. However, Nepali Congress has remained in opposition but supporting the government. But CPN UML has formally withdrew it’s support to the government, and claimed for the main opposition.
