Kathmandu: The Election Commission has made it clear that the term of House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly would automatically expire from September 17 midnight.
Issuing a press release today, the EC said the closed list submitted by political parties and published by the RC for the 2074 elections shall expire from September 17 midnight and decision was taken to this effect based on the letter sent by the National Assembly’s National Concern and Coordination Committee on September 13 and the recommendations furnished by the meeting of political parties on September 14.
Commission’s Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel shared that HoR, Province Assembly, Federal Parliament, National Assembly’s National Concern and Coordination Committee and political parties will be notified about the decision made by the Commission on the expiry of terms of HoR and Province Assembly.
Furthermore, the decision would be published in Nepal gazette as well, according to the press statement.
