I have no involvement in the NRNA general convention: Mahato

Kathmandu, April 29: The founding president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Mr Upendra Mahato, has stated that the unity general convention of NRNA, which is supposed to be held next month (May), will not be possible. He also clarified that he has no involvement in the proposed convention.

Issuing a statement, Mahato made it clear that the planned convention in May cannot be considered a legitimate general convention and that he will have no role or participation in it.

“I sincerely request all friends to abandon unnecessary stubbornness and create an atmosphere of reconciliation to make the Non-Resident Nepali movement sustainable. In this difficult situation, I urge everyone to be patience and take initiative for unity from their respective positions,” he said.

He has also proposed to carry out the global convention in the first week of August, 2025.
