“I will break the lock if someone padlocked Bir Hospital,” says Minister Basnet



Kathmandu, Jan 13: Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, has warned that he himself would break the lock if someone padlocks the Bir Hospital.

At a programme organised by National Academy of Medical Sciences Bir Hospital to inaugurate the mammography service, Minister Basnet shared that he is aware about the issue that a group of people at Bir Hospital has been spending their duty time without doing any works while other group is working round the clock.

“A group has been carrying out activities with an objective of defaming me’, he mentioned.

Inaugurating the service, the Health Minister added OPD service from 8:00 am and arrangement of a separate ward for the treatment of VIPs has given positive message.

Mammogram is a device operated for screening breast cancer. He laid emphasis on the need of making special arrangement of treatment to cardiac related disease along with arrangement of cancer treatment.

Similarly, Vice-Chancellor of NAMS, Prof Dr Bhupendra Kumar Basnet, said modern equipment with 3D technology has been installed in the Hospital.

An arrangement to increase capacity of ICU and teaching MBBS subject from new academic session has been made, he added. #Nepal
