Ilam by-polls: Candidates register nominations for House of Representatives

Ilam, April 6: Candidates have registered nominations for the House of Representatives (HoR) by-election in Ilam constituency 2.

Janamat Party’s Prem Kumar Thamsung (Premdeep), Suhang Nemwang, the common candidate of CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre), Shyam Darji of Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party, Dambar Khadka from Nepali Congress, Dak Prasad Gautam (independent), Dakendra Singh Thegim on behalf of the Pahichanbadi (pro-identity group) and Jit Bahadur Rai of CPN (Unified Socialist) have registered nominations for the April 27 by-election.

Likewise, Milan Limbu also filed his nomination from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Speaking to the media after the nomination, CPN-UML candidate Suhang Nemwang said that his victory was certain because of the love of the people of Ilam. Following in the footsteps of the works done by Subaschandra Nemwang, he promised to do better.

Likewise, Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka also requested Ilam voters based on his social activities for a long and continuously in Ilam. He claimed that this time Ilam people will help him in winning the election.

The by-election is about to be held after the death of Member of Parliament Subash Chandra Nemwang, who was elected from Ilam-2. #nepal #ilam
