IME Electric inaugurated new dealer at Maharajgunj

Kathmandu: IME electric Pvt. Ltd. added a new dealer in Maharajgunj as “Garima Auto Concern” in the ever-growing network for Raft electric scooter.

The dealer is jointly inaugurated by Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising and Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice President of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal.

In program, NEA Chief Ghishing said that “Electric vehicles are getting more and more popular in Nepal. Nepal imports fuel worth billions of Rupees from neighboring countries, use of electric vehicle will help in reducing fuel import and promote use of locally produced electricity. There is a huge savings in the use of electric vehicles for customers, especially when they charge vehicles in the night. I am very delighted that the group like IME is promoting electric vehicles, I wish IME and Garima all the best for the business growth”.

Similarly Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal said, “We welcome Garima Auto to our ever-expanding network and wish them best of luck. IME Electric aims to be a leader in e-mobility and wish to be people’s first choice when it comes to driving new energy vehicle.”

Raft two-wheeler was introduced in October 2022; and is getting very popular in Nepal.

Garima has already sold over 100 units of them within just three months.

Dhakal added, “We are not only selling the product but also contributing to the national economy by reducing petrol imports and helping to keep the environment clean”.

MD of Garima Auto, Dan Rana, said, “I am very proud to connect as a business partner with IME Group and pleased to serve the eco-friendly electric two wheelers to customer. Customers are happy after using raft electric scooter”.

As per company, Raft electric scooter run 800KM in the cost of 1 liter petrol. So, in comparison with the petrol scooter, a customer will save approximately Rs. 250,000 (Two lakhs fifty thousand) within 3 years and hence will recover almost the full cost of the scooter.

The product from Raft motors has more than six models of electric scooters with the range going up to 320 Kms in a single charge.

Raft vehicles have become extremely popular in Nepal in a very short period of time due to reasonable price, extremely good KM range, reliability and very attractive looks, the company claims.
