Improved economy, government’s mission: PM Oli



Kathmandu, July 19: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated the incumbent government’s mission to improve national economy by addressing the public despair.

At a discussion with the office-bearers of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) today, PM Oli clarified that the new government was formed under his leadership to resolve pertinent problems surfaced in the country and carry out some transformative works.PM Oli, also the chair of CPN (UML), asserted that he had not taken the prime ministerial responsibility again not merely for holding position but for advancing some noble works.

“I had already become the Prime Minister of the country. I have not come to take up the responsibility only for position but to undertake some innovative works to contribute to the nation”, the PM added.PM Oli said the government has special interest and focus towards making the economy strong and circular.

“Resolving the existing problems and strengthening the economy is the main objective of the present government. I have not just assumed the responsibility”, he said, adding, “I have come up with determination that we must work for change and solve the problems in the country”.Indicating that the monetary policy brought out by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) would not be harsh, he clarified that the monetary policy should keep the economy moving.

During the meeting, CNI President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal urged the PM on behalf of the private sector to work with high priority to revive the economy which has remained sluggish for the past three years.Agrawal stressed the need to boost the morale of the private sector noting that the fragile economy should be revived through the monetary policy.
