Indian Army provides 100,000 doses of COVID vaccine to Nepal Army

KATHMANDU: One lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine provided by the Indian Army to the Nepal Army has arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Army Spokesperson Santosh Ballav Poudel confirmed about the arrival of anti-Covid-19 vaccine as a gift from Indian Army.

According to Poudel, the formal handover is scheduled to take place in a few days. The Indian Army provided the Covishield vaccine produced by Serum Institute of India.

Poudel said that the vaccine will be provided primarily to the Nepal Army personnel, and considering to provide the vaccine to the dependent family.
