Kathmandu, Aug 22: The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu organized a ‘Book Release and Discussion’ program on Monday in Nepal-India Library as part of ‘Nepal-India Literature Festival’.
The chief guest of the programme, former Chief Justice of Nepal Shree Girishchandra Lall released Hindi book ‘Nepal Mein Hindi’ published in association with BP Koirala Foundation.
In the programme, a discussion was also held on a poetry collection ‘Ujale Ko Rang’ that was translated into Hindi by senior poetry duo of Nepal Sneh Sayami and Rajendra Shalabh. Likewise, a discussion was also held on Sneh Sayami’s Nepali poetry collection ‘Chashma Ra Aankha Ko Barta’.
In this programme, Hindi professor Dr. Shweta Dipti of Tribhuvan University, distinguished poet Bidhan Acharya and senior litterateur Dr. Ramdayal Rakesh expressed their views.
During the address, the chief guest Girishchandra Lall highlighted the age-old relationship between Nepal and India, the shared culture and the importance of the languages of both the countries.
A large number of writers, teachers, linguists and literature lovers were present in the programme.
