Kathmandu, Nov 27: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government is doing homework to address the issues of landless squatters within the next few days.
Needed decision would be taken to provide land plots to the squatters and landless in an easy manner, the PM said.
Launching a website of the CPN (Maoist Centre) at the party central office in Paris Danda on Monday, Prime Minister and Maoist Centre Chair Dahal shared that the council of ministers has decided to amend the related laws to resolve the issues facing by landless and squatters.
“Act will be amended to resolve the difficulties faced by squatters and unmanaged residence. The Forest Act, 2029 is hindering the development,” the PM added.
The PM was of the view that the cabinet meeting on Sunday decided to amend such obstacles that prioritize something others that the people and developmental issues.
After the amendment to the Act, process for the development works and distribution of land ownership certificate would be expedited, according to PM Prachanda.
On the occasion, Prachanda said that the party could be made more popular among the people through an appropriate use of information technology. He that the government was making honest efforts to work for the cause of the people and the country adding that the issues of usury victims are resolved, positive interventions are taken on social security, land brokers are booked and the scammers involving the fake Bhutanese refugees are under prosecution.
On a separate context, the PM said that his government has seriously worked to strengthen national identity and his visits to India, China, USA and Italy were fruitful to that end.
Likewise, the PM said that in the COP-28 he would seriously raise the issue of noncompliance with the developed assistance by the developed countries to the climate developing and change vulnerable countries.
On the occasion, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said that the country could be taken to the path of prosperity through the best utilization of technology and added that the government recently unveiled the guidelines on use of social sites as some of the social networking sites posed threat to our social harmony.
