Kailali, Dec 28: Rajkanda Jalpa Devi Temple, located in Chisapani, Kailali, is one of the most renowned pilgrimage sites in Sudurpaschim Province. This temple holds significance not only in Kailali but throughout the province.
Devotees from far and wide visit the temple for worship and to seek blessings. It is a long-held belief that visiting Jalpa Devi Temple fulfills one’s wishes.
The temple also attracts religious tourists from Nepal and India. Additionally, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of nature from the site. However, there has been a lack of proper road access to the temple, making the journey challenging.
This is set to change, as a cable car – Jalpa Devi Cable Car – is now being constructed in the area. The foundation stone for the Chisapani–Rajkanda Jalpa Devi Cable Car is being laid today. Once completed, it will provide easier access from Chisapani of Karnali river to the temple, making the pilgrimage significantly more convenient.
The temple also sees a significant number of Indian pilgrims. With the cable car in place, there is a strong potential to attract a larger influx of tourists from Uttar Pradesh, India. This development is expected to transform Rajkanda Jalpa Devi Temple into a premier tourist destination in Sudurpaschim Province. #Jalpa
