Gorkha, June 23: Five people died when a jeep carrying people met with an accident in Gorkha last night. Four men and one woman were killed in the accident.
Gorkha Deputy Superintendent of Police Lilaraj Lamichhane informed that 12 people were injured in the accident.
A jeep 01-023ch 44 27 carrying bride was returning from Shahid Lakhan-3 to Shahid Lakhan-5 last night. According to Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal, a police team led by DSP Lamichhane from the district went to the scene immediately after the incident.
Now the police, Nepali army, armed police and locals are rescuing the injured. DSP Lamichhane said that the identity of the deceased could not be revealed. It is said that the jeep fell down about 200 meters from the road.
