OKHALDHUNGA: At least three persons died on the spot and 14 others were injured in a reveler-ferrying jeep. A Bolero jeep (01022 Cha 9694) of Province-3 met with the accident at Sikaridanda in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-9 this morning.
As informed, all the passengers were the revelers heading to offer worships at Champadevi Kakani Temple and attend Ekadashi fair.
According to District Police Chief Govinda Raj Kafle, those deceased are Mithumaya Magar, 35, of Siddicharan municipality-10, Betini Rupse, Tulasa Magar, 17, of the same place, Khagendra Magar (age unidentified) and one another (who is yet to be known).
The jeep carrying 18 passengers had fallen off around 600 meters from the road, Kafle further informed. Those critically injured were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, shared Sunkoshi-9 ward chair Jhanak Kumar Karki.
Police and locals had rescued those injured in the road mishap. Other injured are being treated in Okhaldhunga community hospital.
