Butwal, April 5: Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the leader of the parliamentary party of the CPN (Maoist Centre) on behalf of the ruling coalition in Lumbini province, has submitted a claim to the Province Chief Amik Sherchan for the post of Chief Minister.
After the resignation of Chief Minister Dilli Chaudhary in the state assembly on Thursday, Mahara submitted a claim with the signatures of the majority of MPs for the formation of a new government. He presented the claim with the signatures of 44 MPs.
Province Chief Amik Sherchan is preparing to appoint Mahara as Lumbini Chief Minister today. The signatures of 44 people including 29 from CPN UML, 10 from Maoist Centre, 3 from Janata Samajwadi, one from Unified Socialist Party and one independent state assembly member have been submitted. #Nepal
