Biratnagar, Oct 21: Senior leader of Nepali Congress Dr Shekhar Koirala said Kedar Karki was elected the Chief Minister of Koshi Province on the consent of party central President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Talking to media persons briefly at Biratnagar airport on Friday evening, Dr Koirala said the province government was newly formed under the leadership of NC PA member Karki in view of the contemporary situation in the province.
He also announced that the formation of the Koshi government would not have its impact on the federal and Bagmati province government. He also said that the province government will be expanded before the Tihar festival on the need basis.
In another context, he said, “It is a constitutional fault that the Prime Minister does not have a right to dissolve the parliament in the parliamentary system.”
