Surkhet, May 25: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, today initiated the upgrading works on the seven-kilometre Mulpani-Ranighat section of the Mulpani-Ranighat-Telpani-Bhurigaon road at Palate, Birendranagar Municipality-2.

This road is the shortest road connecting the Karnali province with Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Kandel emphasized that everyone involved, including the government and private sector, should cooperate in infrastructure development and efforts to improve the living standards of the people.

He said that the construction work is not only the responsibility of the government offices and the construction companies, stressing the positive thinking, monitoring, and trust of the local residents and stakeholders will also contribute to the development and construction works.

The Chief Minister also stated that if this road is completed, people need not take a detour through Kohalpur in Banke to reach Bardiya and Sudurpaschim Province and they can directly travel to Bardiya.
