Kathmandu, Dec 21: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has completed 43 infrastructure projects in the first five months of the current fiscal year starting July 16.
The metropolis has asphalted 37.30 kilometres road during this period.
Similarly, KMC has constructed 8.40 kilometres road under the Regular Road Repair Programme, 10.20 kilometres road under the Infrastructure Ambulance Programme, 9.40 kilometres under the Dust-free Road Programme and 9.30 kilometres road under the Carry-over Programme during the five months.
KMC Public Works Department Chief Suraj Shakya shared about the current progress of infrastructure projects during the Budget Formulation Committee meeting held on Friday. KMC Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol presided over the meeting.
Shakya said that along with the black-topping of the roads, 5.80 kilometres roads have been pitched with RCC, drains constructed on 1.16 kilometres road, slabs have been lain on 2,070 square metres of roads.
The Department stated that public works with investment of around Rs 880 million have been carried out in the last five months of the current fiscal year. #nepal #kmc
