Kathmandu, June 15: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to launch homestay services at ancient towns- Handigaon and Basantapur- of the Kathmandu Valley.
Unveiling the policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/25 on Friday, Mayor Balen Shah shared the policy to include Handigaon in the World Heritage List.
Mayor Shah mentioned that the KMC was for managing the Baudhanath and Swayambhunath on its own.
As per policies and programmes, the KMC is for a strict regulation of the use of tobacco and alcohol, and monitoring of food quality.
