Chitwan, Sept 20: The landslide that occurred in the Tuinkhola (Rivulet) along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section is yet to be cleared.
Passengers have been stranded due to the blockage of the highway since Friday evening. Although work to continuously remove the landslide that fell on Friday evening is ongoing, the road division office in Chitwan has stated that it will take until Sunday to completely clear the landslide if situation favours.
The office chief, Narayan Lamichhane, mentioned that due to the large piles of debris deposited there, it is difficult to work at night, and thus the work to clear the landslide has been halted for today.
It has been announced that landslides will be cleared from Sunday morning. According to the road division office, work was halted again at 6:30 PM after a landslide again fell down there.
Meanwhile, considering the adverse situation faced by the travelers, dry foods and meals were given to stranded travelers in the initiation of district administration office.#nepal #rss
