Morang, Jan 20: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said the government was determined to maintain law and order in the country.
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Monday, Home Minister Lekhak expressed commitment to take action against those involved in criminal activities.
He argued that it would not be acceptable at any cost to physically assault lawyers for making arguments, doctors for treatment as there is professional freedom in democracy, adding action would be taken against those involved in the incident of assaulting an advocate.
Condemning the incident of physical assault on former Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Uddhav Thapa, in Jhapa few days ago, the Home Minister expressed commitment to take action against the guilty.
He clarified that the government introduced some ordinances to make country’s economy dynamic, to bring in foreign employment, to maintain good governance and transparency as well as to make administrative and public service easy and smooth.
Stating that discussion on the matter of constitution amendment has been started, Minister Lekhak mentioned that constitution would be amended by forging consensus among political parties.#nepal # law #RSS
