Birtamod, June 25: Two people died due to lightning this morning in Jhapa district.
Krishna Bahadur Chand, spokesperson of District Police Office Jhapa informed that the deceased are 46-year-old Rajan Khadka of Kamal Rural Municipality-2 and 42-year-old Bikas Giri of Gauriganj Rural Municipality-8. According to him, Khadka, who was injured by lightning while going from home to the farm in the morning, was taken to Amda Hospital in Damak, where the doctor declared him dead.
Also, Giri was struck by lightning while working in Sitaram Dahal’s farm in Gaurigunj Rural Municipality-3. According to police, he died on the spot. #lightning #nepal
