DAMAULI: Locals of Baisjagar of Bhanu Municipality-9 in Tanahu district have again blocked the Dumre-Besishahar road section. Locals have blocked the road at Baisjagar since Thursday evening after the local administration refused to take FIR related to drowning of a boy from Sundarbazaar.
A boy named Sanij Shrestha, 17, was found dead at Marsyangdi river on Tuesday.
Locals withdrew their protest on Wednesday after agreeing to go ahead with the law and not to protest. As soon as the situation became uncomfortable, the administration imposed a curfew in the Siudi Bazaar area.
The victim’s family had lodged a FIR against Baburam Poudel, principal of Future Star Residential Secondary School, warden Saroj Amalia and a student at the police station on Thursday. Locals have blocked the road again in protest. Shrestha had been studying in the dormitory of the school.
The victim has alleged that Shrestha’s relatives were sent to play swimming outside the dormitory without informing them. Local Sitaram Bajagain said that the agitation was postponed after an earlier agreement to file a FIR against school administration.
