LSP demands parliamentary probe to look into embezzlement of cooperatives

Kathmandu, May 10: The Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) has decided to demand formation of parliamentary probe committee to find out truths behind embezzlement of cooperatives’ fund.

The party parliamentary meeting of the LSP called for the probe into the cooperatives fraud and scams, acknowledging that millions of depositors were directly affected due to billions of rupees of embezzlement in the cooperatives, said chief whip of the party, Ram Prakash Chaudhary.

The meeting also decided to demand with the government for immediate compensation to fire cases victims in various places of Terai Madhesh.

The party also called for seeking an immediate as well as sustainable solution to the increasing shortage of drinking water in the Terai Madhesh due to climate change and degradation of Chure range, informed chief whip Chaudhary.

Also, attention of the federal government would be drawn towards providing compensation to those hit hard by natural disasters, it was shared.
