Madhav Nepal registers candidacy from constituency-1 of Rautahat



Rautahat : Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has registered his candidacy in the election to the Member of House of Representatives from constituency no 1 of Rautahat district. Rautahat is leader Nepal’s home district.

He reached the Office of the Chief Returning Officer and filed the nomination on behalf of five-party alliance on Sunday.

His nomination was proposed by leader of the party Shambhu Saha and seconded by communist leader Bhikhari Prasad Yadav, according to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer.

Even a rally was organized in support of leader Nepal, which was attended by central member of CPN (Maoist Centre), Satya Narayan Bhagat, Chairperson of Durga Bagwati Rural Municipality, Shambhu Singh and many others.

Meanwhile, standing committee member of the CPN UML and former minister for urban development, Prabhu Sah, filed nomination from constituency no 3 of Rautahat.

Sah said he registered his candidacy as an independent candidate because people and followers were greater than his party.
