Sarlahi, Sept 9: Party offices of the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress at Malangawa in Sarlahi district were torched and vandalized.
The agitators in course of demonstration this morning vandalized and torched both party offices, said police. The agitators have been demonstrating here from this morning, said police.
The UML party office is located at Malangawa municipality-3 while NC party office is located at Malangawa-8. Different types of goods including furniture of both party offices were damaged and set on fire.
A large number of security personnel has been mobilized in Malangawa to bring the situation under control. Chief District Officer Tulasi Bahadur Shrestha said special security arrangement has been made at government offices.
