Kathmandu, March 11: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah (Balen) has praised Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) after watching his new Nepali film Laaj Sharanam.
Balen watched the movie at QFX cinema in Durbarmarg on Monday evening, during its second week of show.
After watching the film, he expressed his admiration for Dhurmus, saying, “The level of detail in the film is incredible! It was truly amazing and thoroughly enjoyable.”
Embracing Dhurmus, Balen added, “You have done an exceptional job. As an artist and rapper myself, I know how much we crave opportunities to showcase our art. Watching this movie was a delightful experience.”
Balen attended the hall without notifying the media.
Interestingly, the film features a rap song titled “Nepal Haseko”, which includes Balen’s vocals and gained significant attention among audiences. However, the song does not appear within the movie but plays during the credit-line.
The production team has not yet disclosed the total box office collection of Laaj Sharanam. However, reports from the first day indicate that the film earned nearly Rs 11 million (1.1 crore) on its opening day.
Directed by Kumar Kattel, Laaj Sharanam stars Sitaram Kattel, Mahesh Tripathi, Vijay Baral, Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niraula, and Arpan Thapa in lead roles.
The film is produced under the JPT Creation banner, with Nabin Shrestha as the lead producer, while Ram Naresh Shah and Sirjana Khadka have co-produced the movie. #nepal #cinema
