Meeting of top political leaders begins

Kathmandu, July 9 : The meeting of the top leaders of the three main political parties has begun. The agenda of the meeting is to remove the federal parliament obstruction. Top leaders – Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of the main opposition CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli – attended the meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The meeting of both the Houses of Federal Parliament has been obstructed since last Wednesday by opposition parties. As a result, the ordinance relating to criminalizing the loan sharking has been inactive, and other important bills have not advanced. Meanwhile, the meeting of the National Assembly scheduled for today was postponed until tomorrow at 11:01 am after the obstruction by the UM.

Similarly, the meeting of the political parties associated with the ruling alliance today at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar touched on current issues of the country including that of removing the parliament obstruction.RSS
