Kathmandu: Millsberry has been crowned champions of the 9th Kasthamandap Inter A-Level Boys’ Basketball Tournament after delivering a strong performance throughout the competition and securing victory in the final held on Friday.
In the championship match, Millsberry’s Bishesh Shakya scored 4 points, while Saransh Bhattarai and Sangharsh Kathayat added 2 points each to seal the win. For NAMI College, Pame Hang Rai contributed 6 points in a competitive final encounter.
Bishesh Shakya was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) in recognition of his outstanding overall performance.

Earlier in the semifinals, Millsberry edged past host Kasthamandap College in a thrilling 15–14 contest to reach the final. In the other semifinal, NAMI College defeated Islington College 11–5, setting up the title clash.
The winners were honored during a special ceremony attended by Nepal Basketball Association President Bhim Singh Gurung, Kasthamandap’s Founder and Principal Dr. Shiva Thapa, and Founder Ila Piya.
According to Sundar Budhathoki, ECA In-Charge at Kasthamandap, six teams participated in the two-day tournament, which was played under a league-cum-knockout format.
The event highlighted growing enthusiasm for basketball among A-Level students and provided a competitive platform for young athletes to showcase their talent. #nepal
