Biratnagar, Nov 12: Chief Minister of the Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, has said the government will not prioritise development projects with a budget of less than 2.5 million.

While inaugurating a community building at Pathari Shanishchare-4 in Morang on Saturday, he announced that mini projects will not be implemented by the province government as they fall under the jurisdictions of local governments.

If this practice is promoted, it will be easier to achieve prosperity, according to him.

He said the scattered projects by the federal government are highly likely to see the misappropriation of the budget.

He also urged the citizens to collaborate with the government’s efforts for physical as well as humanitarian development.

Pathari Shanishchare mayor, Mohan Prasad Tumbapo, apprised the Chief Minister that two local road projects- the Gandhi road and Pathari Dayaniya road section- are awaiting completion.

He highlighted the significant inconvenience faced by the public due to these unfinished projects.

He also requested the Chief Minister to show the government concern for the development of a roadway project connecting Sikti in India to Miklajung in Panchathar via Sunabarshi municipality and Pathari Shanishchare.
