Kathmandu, Jan 27: The National Cooperative Regulation Authority (NCRA) has been inaugurated in accordance with the ordinance issued by the government to amend the Cooperative Act, 2074.
Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari formally inaugurated the authority’s office in a programme held today at the former National Cooperative Development Board’s building in Pulchok.
In the programme, Minister Adhikari had sworn the chairperson and members of NCRA. While addressing the programme, he said that the NCRA would work with the cooperatives.
In the event, the minister also promised to amend the laws and regulations that are not compatible in the cooperative sector and resolve all the problems in the sector within two years. He said that homework is being done to amend the Land and Survey Act to solve land related problems. Arjun Prasad Pokharel is assigned as the chairman of the authority. #nepal #
