
Lalitpur, April 13: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has lauded the role played by Muslim community to maintain social harmony in the country.
At a programme organized by Central Committee of the Nepal Muslim Association, the sister wing of the Nepali Congress, at the party office, Sanepa, today, President Deuba praised the role played by Muslim community to maintain social harmony and to strengthen party.
He opined, “There are many supportive brothers and sisters in Muslim community. The inclusive and proportional governance system adopted by the country has incorporated all ethnic groups and communities and the government is attentive to make the party more inclusive.
Similarly, Joint General-Secretary of the Party, Bhishma Raj Angdambe, mentioned that the NC, which believes in democratic system accepting religious freedom and tolerance, has been presenting virtue by accepting devotion, ideology, norms and values of all.
Likewise, NC central committee member Gyanendra Bahadur Karki argued that the contribution of Muslim community in democratic system and country’s development is unforgettable.
Extending best wishes on the occasion of New Year 2082, another NC central committee member Abdul Sattar said the country could be developed from the unity among all groups and communities.
On the occasion, NC Lalitpur President Jitendra Kumar Shrestha, Central Chairperson of Nepal Muslim Association,Atabul Mansoor, acting Chairperson of Muslim Commission, and Mahamuddin Ali expressed the view that religious unity, harmony and tolerance are identity of the Nepalis.#nepal #political #rss
