Chitwan, March 5: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section will open for traffic during the afternoon starting today.
The road section used to remain closed for 4 hours in the afternoon from 11 am to 3 pm for the purpose of chopping off the hill side to expand the road for construction of bridges along the roadway.
The work of making way for construction of bridges have been completed except for the hill next to Tuin river towards Muglin, said Krishna Acharya, information officer of Nagadhunga-Muglin road project. Explosives are being used to blow up the hall next to the Tuin river, where 40 meters are yet to be cut.
The work of cutting side wall was carried out next to the Chisenji, Simaltal, Kalikhola and Namchi rivers, which have been completed. Five bridges are under-construction along the road.
A total of 20 bridges have been added on the road after the latest expansion of the road.
