‘Nation catches pace of development after republic’

Kathmandu, May 30: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said the nation found a pace of development after the establishment of a republic system in the country.

Talking to the RSS today after visiting the Photo Exhibition themed ‘Accomplishments of Republic: Infrastructure for Prosperity’ organised by the National News Agency (Rastriya Samachar Samiti-RSS) on the occasion of  Republic Day-2081 BS, the leader acknowledged the significant strides in the infrastructure development sector mainly after the republic.

“The photo exhibition is itself a reply to those who believed that significant happened in Nepal even after the establishment of a republic. The exhibition paints a real picture of the achievements in the development after the republic,” he said.

RSS Executive Chair Dharmendra Jha, RSS Board of Directors Krishna Adhikari, Deputy General Managers Raju Shakya, Shyam Rimal, and Somnath Lamichhane among others briefed the leader about the features of the photos put in the exhibition.

It includes 90 photos of the historic monuments rebuilt after the 2015 Gorkha earthquake, of human, education, health, and industrial developments, of roads, drinking water, electricity projects, and so on. The exhibition includes development endeavours from all seven provinces.

Photos related to energy, airport, tourism, roads, bridges, reconstructed heritages, postal highway, Mulpani Cricket Ground, Kathmandu-Madhes fast track, Sunkoshi-Marin diversion multi-purpose project, solar panel, 4G towers of telephone, national pride projects and pride projects of provinces have been put on display in the exhibition.    #rss #republic
