Kathmandu, March 15: National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has stressed the need for the government and political parties to focus on changing the condition of the people.
Speaking at a programme organized here today, he said, “Although the political system has changed, the standard of living of the people has not been transformed in a way that could be felt.”
He was of the view that the people were seeking education, health, employment and economic prosperity. The Chairman of the National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament, expressed the view that there is a sense of despondency among the people as the oppressed classes, castes, genders, regions and communities were not able to enjoy the constitutionally guaranteed rights including education, health, housing, employment and drinking water.
Stating that education is the backbone of the country’s development, he said every child should be able to study fearlessly, adding that the role played by the education sector in building a prosperous society was important for the nation.#nepal #political #rss
