National U-20 football team announced



Kathmandu: A 25-member football team for the Under-20 Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in Bahrain has been announced today.

Head coach of the national under-20 football team Meghraj KC announced the team for the tournament to be held from coming September 10 to 18.

Along with Nepal, the qualifying includes Qatar, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Bhutan.

Those included in the preliminary list are Ishwar Gurung, Unesh Chaudhary, Ziarat Sheikh and Top Bahadur Rana (goalkeepers), Amar Shrestha, Ajay Chaudhary, Sumit Shrestha, Srijan Dhani, Abhishek Waiwa, Jana Tamli, Shekhar Khawas, Shyansu Bhusal and Raj Thokar (defenders).

The midfielders include Dipesh Gurung, Ashish Rai, Sandeep Karki, Janmajay Dhami, Kritishratna Chanju, Sugam Suwal, Managya Nakarmi, Ayush Ghalan, Rakesh Bishwakarma and Sanjeev Lama. Niranjan Malla and Rohan Khadgi are the forwards.

The team is currently undergoing closed-camp training at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur.
