Hetauda, July 23: The Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) have shared the ministerial portfolios in the Bagmati provincial government amongst them.
Accordingly, the NC gets the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, said Govinda Prasad Lamsal, the Whip of the NC’s provincial parliamentary party.
Similarly, the CPN (UML) gets the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation, the Ministry of Forests and Environment, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Land Management and Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
Leader Lama stakes claim for Bagmati CM
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) has staked his claim to the post of Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.
Leader Lama submitted the claim before Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma with signature of 64 Province Assembly members of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML).
He staked the claim before Province Chief with the presence of NC Bagmati Province President and Province Assembly member Indra Bahadur Baniya and CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party leader, Jagannath Thapaliya.
There is possibility of appointing leader Lama as the Chief Minister by Province Chief today itself. Approving the resignation of Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel, Province Chief Sharma asked political parties to stake their claim by 5:00 pm today for the formation of a new government in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution.
CPN (UML) finalized name of ministers
Meanwhile, the CPN UML has finalized the name of the ministers and their portfolio to the Bagmati provincial government.
According to UML leaders, Prakash Shrestha will represent at Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Kiran Thapa Magar at Ministry of Health, Krishna Silwal at Ministry of Forest and Environment, Suk Maya Tamang at Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration, Aman Maske at Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Prem Bhakta Maharjan at Ministry of Labor, Employment and Transport. #nepal #bagmati
