Kathmandu, Oct 4: Nepali Congress General-Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged all citizens, Congress leaders, workers and people’s representatives to engage in relief and rescue efforts during disasters.
In a statement he issued today, Thapa also urged for widely publicising the information issued by the government and alerting the people in areas at potential risk.
“In this situation of disaster caused by heavy rainfall, I request all Nepali citizens, colleagues of the Nepali Congress, and elected representatives at local and provincial levels to widely disseminate the notices issued by the government and to take care of themselves while engaging in rescue, relief, and service during potential disasters,” said General-Secretary Thapa.
He also urged all levels of party workers to follow the instructions and information issued by the party and remain active in their areas.
General Secretary Thapa stated that effective coordination between the federal, provincial, and local governments is necessary in disaster management and emphasised that it is time for all agencies and personnel to be deployed on the front line with shared responsibility.#nepal #rss
